Odd Games
Internet Poker could really do themselves a huge favor by stopping to offer oddball games.
Badugi, 8 game, defunct Full Tilt's Matrix, Razz and Elimination Blackjack come to mind. It's just an excuse to have a position that by no rights by their quality of play have enough to buy into a game and raise like crazy/play like an idiot and be succesful with it.
Now, since I've been getting a lot of wanted attention (that's not a typo - normally it would be unwanted attention, but I know I've pissed you off) in my never ending quest to be annoying I switched to a 2k buy in on 8 game on PokerStars that my 828k play money chip stack shouldn't be interested in. I was not disappointed.
The "if these people are real they have been bitten by zombies and all play the same way" infection is universal. It's not just Hold'em. Our Brazilian friend timed out on the first hand. Sat back in. Timed out on the scond hand.
I've seen this before, but never to the extreme I experienced tonight. Usually these sitters come alive (after avoiding being inhaled by a vacuum) and start winning. Bira was abit different. A stupendous mathematical anomaly different. After folding my bet leaving himself with 10 chips which at this point with blinds of 50/100 he should have been dead within a couple of hands. But NOOOO! Scratched and clawed back to a respectable amount.
My therapist has expressed serious concerns about my fixations with Internet Poker, Asian women, Ben and Jerry's ice cream, the impending zombie apocalypse and math. And after beating her with a stout twigs (Richard Simmons and Perez Hilton) she relented.
When a player that has taken a huge amount of time thinking and we finally get back to the 7-2 lowball phase of 8 game and you get eliminated obviously playing for the high hand you deserve to be eliminated. And have your account deleted for obviously existing only to be an annoying dochebag.
