With apologies to all my fans - both of them, I haven't been playing too much in the past several weeks. Me and my crack team of elderly dog experts (me and the dog) were dealing with the imminent death of my crack team member. Now that he has gone and I have obtained a gecko as a replacement we are back in business. The gecko has already paid off as I am now saving twice as much as he cost me on my car insurance premiums.
Another reason to not be busy here is that since my return to PokerStars on Monday things were rather calm and believable, a situation that irks me to no end. Finally last night we had a bustable (def. - able to be busted on) event. Check out these real and not made up statistics -
On hands where I was dealt an ace, the first four were paired with a two.
The next two aces were paired with a six.
The next ace was paired with another two.
The next ace was paired with another six.
The next ace was paired with a nine. Not complete crap, but not ideal.
Ace and Jack suited!!! We are in business.
After that I lost track, but while I was tracking I noticed this about these 10 hands:
On every single one the ace was dealt to me as the first of my two cards.
Apparently the evil dealer of non-random cards decided to tease and get my hopes up that I would actually get a playable hand.
Even more bizarre was how when it got down to a single table the chip leader over on the left proved to be a bit clueless. The two sitters sat out the entire game except a couple of hands on the first deal around the table. There was three times everyone else folded up to him, and all he had to do was call to win the hand and he folded. This just screams out AI. Perhaps he was distracted by the Casey Anthony verdict being the worst jury decision since OJ got off the hook. Or maybe just playing to make me lose instead of playing to win like happens far too often here.
