The ScoopyDoopyDoo Incident

And this might be a real person. But it requiresd much more investigation, so the near future holds a lot of "Find Players" for this butthead.

Third hand I sit on, there's a big pre-flop raise. Considering I have a healthy chip stack I call the guy. He flops the nut flush. I still have nuts low possible and two aces, so I call his all-in. The flush stands and I lose all 20k.

The idiot preaches to the table about what a bad player I am. You really don't want to do that. On all three sites I play most on I've often encountered people commenting about my play. Omaha Hi-Lo is my money game. I've played far more hands of that than Hold'em. One loosely played hand without getting a read on a player doesn't make me bad. It just makes me loose.

Sadly, this position folded a lot of hands which indicates real intelligence instead of rigged AI.

But it does bring your loud mouth up on my radar screen.

More card counting

I love my pad of paper and pen.

I played over 150 hands last night on Full Tilt. Over two 2 table sit and go tourneys my first pocket pair was on hand 107. On the average you should get one every 13 hands. Huge stretches of hands like 83, 59, J3, 27, etc....

I did make the final table on the first but was hopelessly short stacked and crashed and burned-first to exit.

The second was a bit weird. I won the second hand. (A rarity for me.) Two more small pots before the final table. This time only mildly short stacked instead of hopelessly short stacked. When I finally did get that first pair it was aces. Three hands after that pocket queens. And they kindly gave me a pair of kings many hands down the road. Miracles do happen. I took the top prize and I'm knocking on the door of 200k chips.

No chat at all until the final four players on the final table of the second tourney. If I didn't know better I'd almost be thinking that I wasn't playing against real people. ;)

Back to Full Tilt

And I played my favorite on there. 18 player two table sit and go. It wasn't too bad. As usual when I left off with them last I had to play extremely short stacked. It wasn't until hand 21 where I won my first. Maybe I folded one other that would have been a winner. I flopped a pair of tens with a queen on the board on hand 6 which was the first hand without a big pre-flop raise.

I didn't call the first bet after that. I was successfully able to bluff several times and I did finish in the money.

However, I must report one strange event. Fairly early, one player went all in with 1k+ chips and won since all folded. The next hand he was gone. Not just sitting out becuase he left the table - just disappeared. There's no reason for this.

So, since I'm vacationing from Absolute for awhile this is my main target for now. For starters, I see Freckledmom is a user here too. This could be fun.

Yawwwnnn

All that excitement in June. And now Omaha Hi-Lo on Absolute is a complete yawnfest.

Freckledmom is no longer the impossible winning machine she used to be. In fact, now the rare times I actually do find her at a table she's pretty much not that competent. The irrational raising has been toned down a lot. And she plays on max buy in tables of 2k instead of 20k.

I find it curious that for weeks I could always find at least one table with massive raising and calling, and in July all the tables are playing more or less for real. I'll have to let tonight's memory of Mandypent coming in with 20k, going all in every hand, rebuying several times and losing it all eventually each time be my happy memory of someone playing like a complete idiot. Even though every fiber of my being screamed out not to call, since the poker has been so rational lately I bought into this time. It was the easiest 70k I've ever made. Played for less than half an hour. Just in case your looking at what hands a strong poker player* plays and how, I'll have to give up on you guys for a couple of months and let you build up a false sense of security.

Then I'll be back.

* Yes, I'm allowed to make this comment. When I came back from idle on this site I had 1.75 million chips. Gained 100k. Purposefully called one irrational table for more than an hour and lost 300k chips. Now up to 2.25 million.
